Event Description

The EB Fleet will host a Star clinic with special guest Ross Macdonald coaching on the water with the help of John Hilton. This clinic will piggyback on the May 2/3 regatta with Saturday mostly practice and Sunday joining some racing. There will be a wine and cheese social Saturday evening to debrief. Video will be taken on the water. Please have your boat in the water with the sails up by 10:30 Saturday May 2. If you can not attend, it would be great if you can find a good sailor to borrow your boat and come out and see what Stars are all about.

Amended information for this event:
There will be a KYC sailpast at 1345 hrs - all Stars from both clubs are invited to attend as this is a 75 year celebration. There will be a break in the days activities to allow for the sailpast.

Comment by Craig Wilshire on April 29, 2009 at 11:30am: Please remember to register at RVYC for Sunday racing. I have notified the RC that we will NOT be racing Saturday. Debrief will be at RVYC in the Boardroom downstairs (accross from the Star and Dragon Lounge) at 17:00. Drinks and appetizers included. It is planned to be finished by 18:00.

10:30 Star clinic begins (be on the water sailing at this time, between RVYC and KYC)

13:45 KYC Sailpast (between KYC and RVYC). All Stars from both clubs invited as a tribute to KYC’s 75th Anniversary. 7737 will lead Stars. It should take about 15 minutes.

15:00 End of sailing

17:00 Debrief with drinks and appetizers included (RVYC Boardroom – lower lever next to the Star and Dragon Lounge)

18:00 End of debrief
