Report: 

Great competition, warm westerly thermal, tight crossings, elite sailors and no protests! We had 12 Stars on the line and smiles all around. Saturday saw 10- 14 knots,  a lee current and Fraser RIver inflow mixing to make very unusual strategy for English Bay. One senior sailor just couldn't help going to the beach. Wrong! After three races, the leaders were tightly packed.

The Saturday evening feast at KYC was amazing. What a patio!.  Next morning, we delayed at the dock and stayed in the shade. Many took advantage of the KYC gratis breakfast. Racing started at 1100 and again another classic thermal westerly. The RC went big for the last race, throwing in a finish upwind. PRO James would have been hard pressed to predict the 10 minute lull at the closing 200 metres. It scrambled the mid fleet, but somehow those fast guys at the front just keep getting lucky!
