International Star Class Yacht Racing Association - District 6
A strong Kits Star boat contingent and 8017 raced 9 races over two days of wacky weather. We saw a race start towards every direction in the compass rose. The climatic finale came on Sunday when we had 2 inches of monsoon-like rain over 20 minutes followed by 25 degrees and sun, as we paddled to the dock. A monstrous buffet followed with kids from Calgary to Colorado.
Steve and Rob showed us why they were in the top ten at the San Diego Worlds- again. The rest of the us battled for runner up. It was good to see 7737 out with Gord Clay and Alex teaming up. Alex has located a spar from Ian and promises to be out at KYC.
So get yourselves organized for the always popular Kits Invitational ( July 12-13) and register for the Olympia Districts. August 1-3) The trip to Budd Inlet is well worth the effort. Great folks and a fun venue.
