Star for sale - 7525

Mader, circa 1992. Hull is in fair condition with the usual signs of use. Gold section mast. North M16 main. North J115 jib. Trailer with good tires in good condition. $2500 US 503-313-1176. Located in Oregon.

Waves Regatta - When is it??

Waves July 1-3 on the RVYC website, but no mention of Stars in the NOR.  The weekend of June 25, 26th is now listed on this website - RVYC One-Design and a note of the schedule change for Waves. So when is Waves and are you all really sailing 3 full weekends in a row?

Boat shifts on trailer

When I brought my boat back from Miami, somewhere in the 1st 200 miles it shifted 3-4" back and was only stopped by the back pads as the hull widened, I'm using ratchet tie downs and they were tight.  Go to threaded metal rod?  Anyone else have this issue?

Bart Simpson

It's a sad day for sailing with the passing of Bart Simpson in San Francisco today. I spent some time sailing Finns from 2000-2006 and I ran into Bart at regattas where the Gold Cup and Masters crossed plus several winter circuits in Florida. He was a class act. In 2003 in the lead up to the US trials we ran a week long clinic at Lauderdale YC with Bart as the lead talent. The Canadian team, Ken Dool, Chris Cook as well as the usual contingent from across the pond were there. I remember one…
