When I brought my boat back from Miami, somewhere in the 1st 200 miles it shifted 3-4" back and was only stopped by the back pads as the hull widened, I'm using ratchet tie downs and they were tight.  Go to threaded metal rod?  Anyone else have this issue?

Last year's event is on youtube and was well worth the time. Good live photography, Virtual tracking and informed (if not eccentric) commentary was well done. Lots of learning here!

A great weekend of fun and sun for the English Bay Star Fleet. The first regatta of the year came down to the final race to find out who was going to be the winner. Alan Cullen won the regatta with a strong effort in tricky conditions.Saturday showed winds from the SW ranging from 6-15 knots with 15 -20 degree shifts. Sunday was about the same but the winds came in from the East with the same 15-20 degrees shifts.  Finally,…

If the weather is depressing you, check out the SSL Finals. The kinetics rules were suspended in breeze over 6 knots. Its a wild display of rocking, rolling and all out Finn style sailing. Race nine is in 30 knots and is incredible. Fantastic video images and virtual graphics.
